Welcome to Associated Licensed Detectives Of New York State
For 75 years, ALDONYS has worked on behalf of licensed private investigators, agency licensees and security guard firms as an advocate for the industry by raising the standards and skills of its members through education, improved standards and awareness.
As New York State’s largest organization for licensed private investigators and security service providers, our membership represents professionals with expert knowledge in a wide range of private security specialties.
Northeast Compact
ALDONYS is proud to announce that we are now part of the Northeast Compact. This Compact is a Regional Partnership for Professional Collaboration among three respected investigative associations:
-Associated Licensed Detectives of New York (ALDONYS)
-New Jersey Licensed Private Investigators Association (NJLPIA) https://www.njlpia.org/
-Connecticut Private Investigators Association (CPIA) https://www.ct-investigators.com/
This Compact enhances professional development, fosters interstate networking and helps expand access to resources for members across participating associations.
Through a Memorandum of Understanding, members of participating associations are granted reciprocal affiliate membership privileges. This allows members of each association to join, participate in and benefit from the activities, training and resources of fellow associations - fostering true regional collaboration while maintaining each association’s independence.
This initiative reflects a shared commitment to elevate the standards of our profession and support investigators through cooperation, communications and community.
