Q: How do I log on to the ALDONYS website?

A:  From the Home page, click on the Member tab. Enter the user name and password provided by ALDONYS into the respective fields. Click the Log In button.

If you do not remember your password, click the Forgot Password link.

If this is the first time you have logged in, you will receive a validation email. Follow the instructions in the email to validate your information.

Q: Why do I need to change my password once I log in for the first time?

A: All members have been issued standard passwords. By changing your password the first time you log in, you are protecting your personal and business information.

Q: When I try to log in the first time, I immediately get kicked out of the system. What should I do?

A: This situation typically occurs with members who use Internet Explorer. It may be related to your browser cookies but can be resolved by enabling all cookies. In Internet Explorer, navigate to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Advanced Settings. Enable all cookies, and try to log in again. If the situation continues to occur, send an email to

Q: I sent in my application and dues but have not received my ALDONYS membership card in the mail yet. What should I do?

A: Membership cards are generally sent out in early June. If you have not received your card, please send an email to to find out if your membership application and check have been received.

Q: When are general membership meetings held?

A: To find out about upcoming ALDONYS Meetings, visit the News and Events tab. As meeting information is confirmed, it will be posted in this section. Upcoming meetings will also appear on the Home page.

Q: What is the process for getting licensed as a private investigator?

Q: What if I do not have a membership sponsor or know someone who can sponsor me?

A: If you are interested in joining ALDONYS but do not know a current member who could act as your sponsor, please search our online directory for a list of members in your area. Feel free to contact one of them, or the Regional Director for your area, and introduce yourself. After meeting you, and satisfying themselves that you would meet the membership criteria and character requirements, they may be willing to sponsor you. Otherwise, please contact our Membership Chairperson, Theresa Balfe, for further guidance.
